I Wish I Was A Youth In Paris....

I really wish I was in Paris right now, or atleast not in my town. Anyways, I paired my top with different bottoms and am still on the fence on which I admire most. The jeans outfit is casual, but the skirt ensemble is just plain old fun! I had fun with it, thats what fashion is-or atleast should be! I stole my mom's shirt....but what else is new?????

Help me on which you prefer, need some advice!

Monday's Dose Of Sequins...

My Vintage Swirly-Sequined Vest is just so great! The vest buttoning up all of the way to my neck makes the whole look irresistably classic with an added print for a twist! I stole the Daisy Fuentes shirt from my Momsi ( I steel everything from her these days...) and love to roll up the sleeves for a more casual look. The Vintage Carl Limtruth Belt is refreshing with the floral print and doesn't go with much of my closet, but thought it to be appropriate in this particular ensemble! The floral bead clip in my hair went so well- and lets face it, it is pretty darn cute! Haha just kidding!

Never fun going back after Spring Break.....

A Stab at Boho!

I got this blouse for Easter from a thrift store and I love it! The fringe is so unique and makes the whole thing interesting! I think the white sunnies and purse make the whole look a bit more polished and chic instead of looking like I am some random girl trying to be an Indian. I desperately needed sandals so I got this pair and this pair in white at Fashion Bug (there is a small selection of stores around me without driving an hour). The longer necklace is from Payless- surprisingly love their accessories (got the purse their too)!

I have been on break and have to go back to school tomorrow, I am so looking forward to it (sarcasm intended). Time to study for big end of the year tests!!! YAY!!!

More Designs.......

Well, I haven't designed in a while, but the other night I decided to. For some reason, I have been really into tan lately. The first dress was designed on the basis of simplicity. In my head, the initial design was of a short dress, but I decided that the gown would look really elegant if it were floor-length. I ended up loving the outcome- I usually overly embelish my designs, so this modern take on classic simplicity really looked quite stunning to me. The second look is my casual take on efortless layering and a bit of subtle masculinity. I usually don't incorporate denim, but decided to design around a new textile for once. The plaid undershirt is just perfect to me because I am in love with any type of plaid! It's oversized and my new found love for tans in my designs mixed well.

No Boundaries, No Precise Definition

Fashion holds no visible boundaries- All of those who take interest into this art know that. Models of a Taliban city named Peshawar, a city that has been overpowered by bomb and suicide attacks, defyed Pakistan Society in a runway show. The clothes however, weren't your typical street style looks of Peshawar, where skin is almost completely unexposed to passerbyers. These women, and even men, glided down the runway at Deans shopping plaza in snipped and snapped gauze and silks to reveal areas such as the shoulders and stomachs that your average Pakistanian women wouldn't put a thought to not concealing. The show was said to be organized for recreational purposes- to releive the pressure and anxiety of those who's lives have been affected as a result of the surplus of attacks and who therefore have reached their apprehension threshold.

This is a real life illustration that Fashion isn't just sporting ensembles for confidence or glamour- Fashion provides us with comfort, relaxation, and a way to escape the problems that consume us in our day to day life. What we wear can be whimsy and just plain old fun! We have no boundaries.

Easter, Opening Day, and a Lovely Black and White Dress!

Let me start off by exclaiming Happy Easter To Everyone! It was a great day, for I got to spend time with the people who care about me most, cram my mouth with all the food I could without making myself vomit, and got all of my thrift finds and some clothes my mom picked out for me! I just took photos and it was bordering night time so the pictures are a bit dark...I love this dress though! It's simple, yet chic and purely classic. If anyone watches Project Runway, they will know what I mean when I make the assertion that it looks like a "Mila" design with the black and white color blocking. The turquoise tights gave the dress a splash of much-needed color and added a bit of whimsical youth to the whole look. I am wearing a necklace from Walmart (I live in a small town where the only store that really makes any money is Walmart) that my mom picked out. I really do trust her judgement and her style choices as well. She wants me to put some pictures of one of her outfits up, so I might decide to let her because I love her. I am also wearing a black headband with a big jewel on the side, but the pictures sadly don't capture it.

For all of you out there that watch baseball, Happy Opening Day! Red Sox vs. Yankees tonight, Red Sox down by one as we speak, but I have faith in us to come back! Added some pics of me in a Red Sox hat, haha!

Can They Actually Exist?!?

I don't know what I even typed in on the brilliant website of GOOGLE, but on about the tenth page, these bow-tie booties appeared unrealistically before my eyes. It was heaven, a miniscule piece of it, but none the less heaven. Classic color and a bow- a bundle of chic morphed into heels!...I felt the need to post, like I'm neglecting my duties or something. No outfits due to the fact that I have had a busy schedule. Hope to post more after Easter when I get the amazing thrift finds I'm going to get!!!
